Presented
by Dr. Paul Trana, Research Analyst, Center
for Faculty & Academic Administration
About the session: The University
of Kansas collects, stores, and reports data in many ways, especially in the
Student Administrative Reporting Data System (SARDS). For summary data on
students and programs, Tableau is regularly used to view and analyze
data. For more detailed and specific data requests, SAS, and DEMIS are
used to pull or query relevant data. Using previous data requests as
examples, Paul will describe the data available in each of these programs to
help you better understand what institutional data is available, how it might
be retrieved, and how to best use it to support your academic program. Q
& A will be provided, as well as practice exercises showing how programs
have had their data needs fulfilled in the past.
