Several forms of adapted books exist for students with intellectual disabilities and those resources will be highlighted in this presentation. This session will describe the research informing the design of books that may bring high-level secondary and transition concepts to a wider audience in an accessible format. Additionally, participants will receive step-by-step directions to create their own adapted chapter books with comprehension supporting lesson plan.
