This project looked at identifying a need for trauma-informed, patient-centered practices in well-woman examinations and providing two mitigating interventions. The first intervention is an informational patient handout describing what will likely happen at their appointment as well as resources for patients who have mental health needs or have experienced trauma. The second intervention is a clinician poster containing evidence-based practices with the intention of making the patient more comfortable and giving the patient more control during uncomfortable questions, examinations, and procedures.
